Tutoring Approach

As a dedicated individual, I focus on building strong foundational understanding, boosting confidence, and helping students truly enjoy learning. I tailor each lesson to the individual needs of the student, whether that means breaking down tricky exam concepts, creating revision strategies, or practicing exam-style questions.
My lessons will be interactive, encouraging students to ask questions and apply their knowledge. I teach using a mix of clear explanations, worked examples, visuals, and worksheets. I also help students understand why something is important, not just how to memorise it. As someone who has been in their position before, I know this is crucial to help with long-term retention and academic success.

Typically, I offer 60-minute lessons, but I can adjust based on the student’s needs or attention span. I teach Key Stage 3 and GCSE students in subjects like Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Maths. I’ve tutored peers, younger students at university, and students preparing for GCSEs, as well as volunteered in spoken English programmes for children abroad, giving me a wide range of teaching experience with different learning styles and age groups.
