Determination, hard work and commitment to my goals have been the keys to my career success. Originally from Romania, I have had to overcome language and cultural barriers in order to make a success of my life. Starting with a one year course for a certificate in Bible Studies and then a one year course in Youth Work, I then completed a BA in Applied Theology. The PGCE in Religious Studies was then followed by an MA in Christian Ethics. On the side, I have also completed a CELTA course. Apart from English, I speak Romanian as my native language and French.

Tutoring Experience

I have been teaching for 21 years, as an RE teacher and Head of Department, in three different secondary schools in London. As such, I have helped countless students to achieve what, sometimes, themselves did not think they were able to achieve: great GCSE and A-level results. I am specialised in Catholic Christianity, Christianity and Judaism with different examination boards.

Tutoring Approach

Building my students' confidence in their own abilities is what helps students achieve the best that they are capable of. Great patience, ability to break down concepts and ideas into small steps, encouragement and perseverance are skills that I have developed in my 21 years of experience as a teacher and I use in helping my students understand the material they study as well as developing skills to answer exam questions. My determination to succeed in life and my commitment to their success has been an inspiration for my students throughout the years.
