I am a passionate and dedicated individual with a strong background in both law and education, fluent in Italian, Tamil, and English. My academic journey, which spans from obtaining a Diploma di Esame di Stato (Maturità) in Italy to completing a Bachelor of Laws with Honours and currently pursuing an LLM in Solicitors' Practice at City, University of London, has provided me with a deep understanding of various disciplines and developed my communication and organisational skills. I have always had a love for teaching and mentoring, as shown by my teaching assistant roles and voluntary mentoring experience in secondary school. I’m enthusiastic about Italian language and culture, and I am eager to share my knowledge with students of all ages and levels.

Tutoring Experience

I have hands-on teaching experience both in formal and informal settings. During my time as a Teaching Assistant at Primary School Giovanni Acerbi and later at Aquinas Education, I developed skills in managing classrooms, providing individual support to students, and creating a positive learning environment. My experience also includes mentoring students in subjects like Italian Literature and Science at Secondary School Don Milani, where I crafted study materials and guided students through their learning process. Additionally, my ability to explain complex legal concepts to the public through my legal volunteer work has refined my ability to simplify difficult subjects for a diverse range of learners, which I believe is crucial in teaching languages.

My teaching approach is student-centred and adaptable to meet the individual needs of each learner. Whether teaching younger students or adult learners, I focus on making the content engaging and accessible, breaking down grammar and vocabulary into manageable parts. I use a variety of teaching methods, from conversational practice to structured lessons that cover grammar, reading comprehension, and writing skills. For students preparing for exams like GCSE or A-Levels, I focus on syllabus-specific content while also encouraging critical thinking and application of the language in real-world contexts. For casual learners, I create a relaxed and immersive environment where learning Italian is both enjoyable and practical, incorporating cultural elements such as literature, music, and everyday conversation.
