• Having marked for the SQA for the past three years, I have in-depth knowledge of national standards, SQA marking criteria and curricular topics.
• I am based in East Dunbartonshire but happy to conduct on-line tutorials (for a discounted rate) for those who live further afield.

• I believe that when history as a subject is enjoyed, students are far more likely to succeed in their exams. It is therefore a priority of mine to ensure that my lessons are engaging and tailored to pupils’ individual needs.

Tutoring Approach

Prior to first session, I will liaise with client/student to ascertain topics studied in order to prepare appropriate resources.
First session will be spent identifying main development needs to tailor an individualised structured plan for future sessions.
Tutor sessions will consist of supporting students through a variety of techniques to aid content knowledge recall, along with extensive past paper practice. I will always provide detailed, in-depth feedback to ensure consistent student progress.
I am available to support students through all aspects of assignment preparation (N5 and Higher level).
I am also fully trained to cater for pupils with additional support needs.
