I am a highly experienced tutor, teacher and examiner for both English Language and English Literature with over 12 years of experience working in a range of state, private, grammar and international schools, both in the UK and abroad.

Tutoring Experience

Alongside my extensive experience in the classroom and as a tutor, I also examine for four of the key exam boards and so I am qualified and prepared to help students achieve their potential alongside developing their confidence and enjoyment of the subject.

Tutoring Approach

I have been successful in motivating students from a range of cultures and backgrounds to work independently through a rewards system, which has encouraged even the most reluctant learners to continue to apply their knowledge outside of lessons. I have a proven record of success with the students I teach, forming strong bonds and promoting an enthusiasm for attaining academic excellence. My prime focus is to ensure that pupils are always sufficiently challenged in order to realise their potential and feel empowered to fulfil it. Using visual learning strategies to engage even the most unmotivated learners, I have proven record of encouraging a love for the subject and a desire to work independently to achieve the highest results.
