Private Maths and English Tutor in Barnsbury

I am a qualified Medical Doctor with a MSc (Distinction) in Clinical Endocrinology who has tutored intensively over the past 5 years. Before medical school, I attended Westminster School, where I achieved 12A*s at GCSEs and took A-Levels in Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and English Literature. In my spare time I enjoy going to the theatre and playing squash!

Tutoring Experience

I have over 1000 hours of tutoring experience, both online and in-person. I have prepared many students for competitive entrance exams and interviews at some of London's top independent schools, from 7+ to 16+. Students of mine have gained places at St Paul's Boys, Tonbridge, St Mary's Ascot, and Harrow.

I have also helped to prepare many students for their public examinations. I offer support with the Sciences, Mathematics, and English to GCSE level, and Biology to A-level.

Having myself gained a place and graduated from Barts, one of the oldest and most competitive medical schools in the UK, I am happy to assist prospective medical applicants with UCAT/BMAT preparation, personal statement feedback, and interview preparation.

Tutoring Approach

I tailor each lesson to the individual student, considering their unique strengths, weaknesses, and learning style. My goal is to build their confidence by celebrating their progress and providing constructive feedback. I also challenge them by introducing thought-provoking exercises and encouraging critical thinking. I foster a two-way dialogue, inviting students to actively engage with me during lessons rather than letting them passively absorb information.
