Maths and Physics Lessons in Barnes

Hello! I am a maths and physics tutor currently working with GCSE, A Level students and beyond. I have an MSci in Physics and PhD in Mathematics from the University of Bristol, and recently finished a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at University College London, having worked as a mathematician at Bristol University, QMUL, Max Plank Institute in Mathematics in the Sciences, Hanyang University and NTU Singapore, in mathematical physics, which is my full time job (I tutor in the afternoons/evenings). I was Team Guide for Malaysia at the International Mathematical Olympiad 2024 in Bath, UK.

References for successful GCSE and A Level results available, all sorts of backgrounds. Happy to meet for a first lesson to discuss free of charge.

Tutoring Experience

10 years private tutoring. Experience with getting students out of difficult academic situations, turning things around, helping with revision and homework support, and over all taking students at getting them to the highest grades. Also experience at MAT and STEP entrance exams.

Tutoring Approach

Each student is different. Lessons consist of an hour of exercises, often based around past exam papers. This leads to focused exam practice, but also teaches the subject effectively.
