Prior to having my first child in 2020, I was Head of Early Years at an 'excellent' independent school in Essex and I currently teach Reception. I am passionate about teaching and believe that individual progress and success is the key to learning and developing. I have a Teaching degree, as well as experience of teaching across Early Years and Key Stage One. I am very patient, friendly, reliable and approachable. I believe that building a positive relationship with each individual child enables me to help them to succeed and for us to work together to achieve their full potential. I also believe that communication with Parents/Guardians is essential, in order to fulfil expectations right from the beginning.
I have taught for over 10 years and have extensive childcare experience prior to this. I have a degree in Early Primary Education, which covers early years to Key Stage 1. Prior to University I studied Childcare at college and I have also been a Nanny.
I like to look at each child as an individual and ensure that I tailor their tuition to their individual needs. I do not believe in one approach that suits all because every child is unique. I will use a variety of resources and strategies that are best suited to your child.
Before any tutoring commences, I like to get to know both the parent(s) and child. This helps to establish a positive relationship from day one.
Please note that I am only available to tutor Early Years and Key Stage One (Reception, Year 1 & Year 2 only).
