Hi, I am a highly qualified maths teacher with over 20 years of teaching experience. I have decided to teach part time so that I am able to offer maths tuition online. As I am presently working in a school I am fully up to date with the mathematics curriculum from years 7 to 13. Maths is a fascinating, challenging and amazing subject which has interested me since a very young age. Through my teaching and tutoring I hope to inspire and motivate my students, so to build confidence and achieve the desired knowledge and understanding of the subject. I enjoy teaching my classes at my school but would love to provide an opportunity to those students who want to improve and learn at their own pace. Through my tutoring I can provide the best journey which can be tailored to the individual’s needs and aspirations. My lessons will be via teams and provide good interactive activities and resources.

Tutoring Experience

I spent a few years tutoring when my children were very young before going back to work full time in schools. I really enjoyed being able to make a difference in bringing my students on by giving them the confidence to succeed to their chosen level. I hope to return to this as I found it hugely rewarding

Tutoring Approach

As a teacher and a tutor, I am also looking to ensure that my students are happy and are given access to what they need. I am patient, kind and very encouraging. I will take the time to understand any problems and do my best to resolve any misconceptions on the spot. Through my teaching I know how to adapt and quickly provide different ways to understand things which helps to avoid becoming lost which is sometimes what happens at school. My aim is to make the tuition hour as enjoyable and interesting as possible so to be hugely beneficial. I believe my fees will reflect my professional qualifications and experience and I hope to provide a friendly, accessible, affordable tuition solution for any student who is keen to learn whatever their level. I am happy to tutor adults too who are looking to gain a qualification in maths.
