I am a very hard-working and committed individual. I am dedicated to supporting the learning of all the children in my setting as well as their independence, I am able to maintain and support relationships with children and encourage a safe enabling atmosphere for each child’s individual needs. During my three years of experience, I have developed strong skills in supporting young children throughout their daily lives, I am very passionate about providing the best childcare and play experiences. I take pride in being able to handle difficult situations sympathetically whilst still maintaining professionalism. I am extremely passionate about teaching; I find the position personally satisfying and beneficial to the students I work with. I am a great communicator and listener and have the ability to understand a student and their needs.
I have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. I have extensive child care experience, In-depth and up-to-date knowledge of the current frameworks, principles, practices and techniques. I have the ability to prioritise effectively, I have strong childcare knowledge and play skills. I have been a deputy manager which my role consisted of supporting the nursery manager to ensure effective daily management of the nursery, to have good knowledge of all the nursery policies as well as safeguarding and welfare requirements and to make sure that offset expectations are maintained in the nursery at all times. I have also divided my time going from room based as well of office based. I have been a role model to the staff team and have been able to demonstrate high quality practice dealing with children, staff and parents. I have also acted as the designated safeguarding person within the setting in the absence of the nursery manager, dealing with and supporting any issues as they arise. I’ve been able to identify development areas or training requirements throughout the staff team and actively promote continued professional development. Have continually motivated and developed the staff team within the nursery through effective role modelling and spending time in rooms throughout the setting. Promoted equality and diversity within the nursery. I have made sure that all children are treated as individuals and that as a team we are supporting this through our approach to planning with the EYFS. Daily I have been making sure to take an active responsibility to support the nursery team to ensure all paperwork is completed correctly. Check premises daily and remove any potential hazards, supported and developed and enabling environment that is child led using both indoor and outdoor spaces effectively. Encouraged budget related decisions effectively to ensure toys, equipment and soft furnishings both indoors and outdoors are at the required standard to support high quality practice. I have the ability to calmly and effectively lead the nursery setting in times of emergency.
