Tutoring Experience

I’ve had the pleasure of guiding Harris Academy GCSE students through to their academic triumphs. Having navigated the British schooling system myself, I understand the challenges that come with GCSE and A-Level studies.

My tutoring journey began in Year 12 when I decided to help others overcome their struggles with mathematics, transforming complex topics into understandable and engaging subjects.

Having also worked as a private tutor for students from various levels, I’ve been able to create sessions that resonate with each student’s personal learning style and academic objectives. Whether its interactive activities or detailed diagrams, my tutoring is effective as well as enjoyable.

A common hurdle for many math students is achieving a deep understanding of concepts, often limited to surface-level knowledge of definitions and formulas. My goal is to foster critical thinking and independent problem-solving skills by providing clear, concise explanations, relatable examples, and personalised activities.

I strike a balance between question practice and strategic question approach, adjusting to each student’s needs. The independent problem-solving skills students develop will prepare them for even the most challenging exam questions—enabling them to break down tough, unseen problems into manageable steps and use critical thinking to navigate unfamiliar question formats in an exam setting.
