Hi, I’m Amy. I'm really excited to get the chance to help you out on your learning journey. I'm a friendly and approachable tutor with almost a decade of experience teaching science and maths. I have taught both science and maths across key stages 2,3 and 4 (years 5 - 11).

My main goal is to make learning enjoyable and relatable so that you make rapid progress. I focus on breaking down complex stuff into simpler bits, so you get that "lightbulb" moment more often.

I'm proud of being a fully qualified teacher (QTS) with loads of experience. I've worked with hundreds of students and helped them successfully tackle those tricky concepts. I’m particular proud of my track record helping anxious students feel happy and confident whilst learning. My students always say things like that about me which makes me smile.

I know the ins and outs of the curriculum and exam boards in maths and science, and have a wealth of resources to draw upon having working in both primary and secondary schools, so I’m always able to be totally prepared to deliver what my students need.

I’m pleased to be in a position to take on more students, and I expect to be fully booked in no time at all.

Tutoring Approach

I am a friendly and calm tutor who inspires confidence in my students. I tailor all of my lessons to the needs of the student, whether they need a boost or they have a grade they require (for example, they must achieve a grade 6 in maths to meet a conditional 6th form/college offer).
