My name is Amy, and I specialise in primary teaching and psychology. I hold both a degree and a master’s degree in these fields. My teaching philosophy is that everyone can achieve their goals with the right help, resources, and hard work. As someone with dyslexic traits and dyspraxia, I understand the unique challenges some students face and am passionate about helping them succeed.

Tutoring Experience

I have three years of experience as a primary school teacher, where I taught in year 4. During my teacher training, I worked with children from nursery age up to year 6. My teaching journey has been in primary schools, and while I am new to tutoring, my classroom experience has equipped me with a solid foundation in engaging young learners and fostering their academic growth.

I believe in making learning relevant to students' interests to keep them engaged and motivated. My methods include practical activities that make learning hands-on and fun. To meet individual student needs, I use scaffolding techniques, providing the necessary support to help each student progress at their own pace. I do not rely on specific tools or resources but tailor my approach based on each student's unique needs. I track and assess student progress through baseline assessments and continuous small assessments, ensuring that each student is on the right path to achieving their learning goals.
