I have an excellent success rate to enable students to boost their grades. I provide supportive environment and high quality teaching resources. I provide extra resources such as; Booklets, PowerPoints, Worksheets, Exam Papers and Example Answers. I will endeavour to cover as much in the sessions as possible, but where time is limited I will provide students with additional materials to cover in their own time. I have knowledge of a range of revision strategies to maximise success.

Using tailor-made sessions enables students to progress in areas which they may need to improve on or it may be simply working with a student to master exam technique or confidence.

I have examined for AQA for four years and I am familiar with the specification and know exactly what the examiners are looking for, I believe this knowledge is invaluable to prepare for the exam. I have also written resources for tutor2u, broadening my knowledge further.

I have worked in a range of settings, I currently work at a 6 form college and have knowledge of working with different students such as students who have dyslexia or additional needs.

I have taught on the BTEC Psychology qualification and have excellent results so can also help with coursework or BTEC Psychology examination preparation.

My qualifications include honors Psychology degree and I studied at The University of Leeds, PGCE in Psychology and Social sciences, achieved at Manchester Metropolitan University. I also have a clean DBS.

I am more than happy to travel to you, if you would like me to travel beyond 10 miles, drop me a message and I'll be happy to discuss. I work in Pontefract so I can call into places around that area on the way home from work.

I offer discounted group sessions. £20 per hour each for 2 students and £15 per hour each for 3 or more. Group sessions work particularly well.

I don't work Friday's so can do Friday day time too.

Tutoring Approach

I believe in tailor-made sessions, working on areas which students may need to improve on or it may be simply working with a student to master exam technique.

I vary sessions depending on the students learning style and areas of improvement. I am easy to get along with and my classroom has a friendly, relaxed yet hard working atmosphere. I also am a strong believer in instilling confidence in students, many students are worried due to the linear exams and may suffer from exam stress, I address this by providing high quality materials and revision materials throughout the sessions.

I also offer discounted group sessions. £25 per hour for 2 students £20 per hour for 3 or more. This works well, being able to do group work tasks as well as one-to-one activities.
