I am a kind, friendly, caring, empathetic, jovial, patient and passionate tutor who seeks to help students reach their potential and achieve great results. I am highly motivated to advance my learners' education as I believe education improves students' life chances and social mobility.

Tutoring Experience

I have completed my Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Open Degree in French and Spanish then I studied towards a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (Secondary) with Qualified Teacher's Status specialising in French and Spanish. I have previously done placements and worked as a voluntary teaching assistant in primary, secondary, special and Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH) schools across Norfolk and Cambridgeshire. I have been working in the education sector for the past eight years and I have been a voluntary teacher in my local church since 2016. I have worked as a Maths instructor in a SEMH school whilst also having additional responsibilities of teaching Music, Childcare and Health & Social Care.

Tutoring Approach

My teaching approach blends the use of traditional (e.g. textbooks) and modern (e.g. technology-based) methods to make my lessons highly engaging. I seek to let students have a knowledge-rich lesson whilst having lots of fun. I am a passionate tutor who patiently answers students' questions whilst providing lots of encouragement throughout the lesson. I know how to use behaviour management techniques when necessary to ensure a positive and well-behaved learning environment while providing support. I like to incorporate the use of games to make lessons fun and use students interests to make resources and lessons engaging. I aim to cater all lessons to the appropriate level for each student and I like to make lessons individualised so support provided can be specific to the students' needs.
