I currently live in Cambridge, and teach maths from ks3 through GCSE up to Level 3 Mathematical studies (AS Level) at a large comprehensive with a sixth form. My degree is from Loughborough University in Sports Science with Maths. I have worked at my current school for over 20 years, and have previously taught in north London, where I also taught maths and PE
I have over 30 yrs teaching experience across the whole age and ability range from ks3 to ks5. I have previously been Head of PE in my current school and held numerous other responsibilities in PE. I moved out of PE just over four years ago and have been teaching maths full time at my current school for the last four years, teaching right across the age and ability range.
I have a very much student focused approach : my many years of experience mean that i emphasise that skills are just as important as knowledge. I use student's current work and/or assessment as the focus for all sessions.
UPDATE: i am available for online help via zoom/Skype for any students who might need extra help going in to year 11.
