I've been a teacher, Head of Sixth Form and a Deputy Headteacher for more than 20 years in the profession. I am passionate about learning about aspects of human behaviour and I'm now a qualified counsellor working in private practice alongside working as a Careers Adviser in a sixth form college.
I have been teaching Psychology and Sociology to GCSE and A Level for the past 20+ years. My students have always achieved success, with many gaining grades higher than predicted and large numbers have gone on to study these subjects at university. I have also been centre coordinator for the Extended Project Qualification for 6 years.
As a Head of Sixth Form, I have supported large numbers of students through applications processes for university, apprenticeships and work.
My approach to tutoring is to determine the individual needs of the student and then to focus on improving and developing those areas in particular. I always aim to make learning as interactive and engaging as possible.
