I am a enthusiastic, hardworking and approachable professional with a great passion for teaching and helping people realise their potential. I qualified as a Religious Studies teacher in 2010 after successfully completing the PGCE at Hull University. I spent 7 years working with young adults with learning disabilities within secure mental health hospitals after graduating from Trinity and All Saints in the summer of 2003 with a BA honours degree in Theology.
I currently teach Religious Studies at a East Riding School but I have also taught RE and History to GCSE students at a outstanding school in North Yorkshire and RE and History at a challenging school in Hull achieving some excellent GCSE results including A* s. I am familiar with the main Religious Studies examination boards for both GCSE and A level as well as AQA GCSE History.
I currently mark GCSE examination papers for both Ethics and Philosophy papers for OCR and AQA.
My approach is very flexible and I will incorporate the strengths and weaknesses of the pupil in to the sessions. Subject knowledge, subject skills, exam skills, easy writing, coursework and controlled assessment assistance offered.
In the last year I have worked with students studying for their GCSE's in RS and History, their AS Levels in Philosophy and Ethics and A2 Philosophy and Ethics.
