Hello! I’m Andy Removed, an 18-year-old first-year medical student in the UK. I’m excited to offer my private tutoring services to students looking to enhance their academic performance, or simply supplement their learning at school!

Having achieved 3 A* grades at A Levels in the subjects I offer, along with a top 2% score in the medical school admissions test (3070 Band 1 in UCAT), you can be confident in my mastery of the material. My background as a medical student also allows me to provide more context in explanations when certain topics are difficult to understand.

My main priority is making my students feel comfortable and open; This way, students can feel free to discuss content they may be struggling with in class. It also lets me tailor my approach to be specific to your child, unlike in a classroom where a teacher has to give a more general teaching style that may not suit every student in the room.

I prioritize creating a comfortable and open environment where students feel free to discuss what they’re struggling with in class. This lets me tailor my teaching strategies to the specific student, focusing on areas where they need the most support, rather than solely working on whatever they had covered in class that day

From my experience with previous students, I’ve found that practice questions are one of the best ways for students to digest content at every level, from primary school to university. I will help your child identify key areas of knowledge and refine their exam techniques once these practice questions are completed, which are crucial for achieving high marks.

However, doing practice questions without a solid understanding of the underlying concepts is less effective. That’s why I always ensure we thoroughly review the material before diving into questions. I incorporate techniques such as active recall and spaced repetition; we’ll briefly revisit previous lessons at the start of each session and keep track of topics that need reinforcement. I compile any areas of difficulty into a document, continuously revisiting these to strengthen recall and retention of challenging concepts.
