I am still teaching and advising at schools, having been a headteacher here in the UK but also overseas in Singapore and Hungary.
My three children are now grown up but I love still being involved in supporting other families and their children to have fun, develop confidence and enjoy studying.
I have been teaching and tutoring for over 20 years and was Head of English and Science at Alleyns Ior School in Dulwich. I helped design entrance exams and assess at interview so am very experienced in supporting children with 4+ and 11+.
I have extensive special needs experience and am a qualified autism practitioner and also support students with ADHD.
I believe that you need to listen to the children you work with, find out their interests and challenges and work with them to be the best they can be. Lots of hands on work, games and brain breaks work really well - but most of all kindness, caring and a love of seeing children become happier and more relaxed.
