I'm Anna and I am currently a foundation doctor in Cambridge, after graduating at the University of Edinburgh in Medicine and a first-class honours in Pharmacology.

I have previously graduated from the IB (new syllabus) in the Netherlands, with higher level subjects Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics.

Tutoring Experience

I have been tutoring for 6+ years, in person and online, and have delivered both one-to-one and group sessions. I am the owner and author of How To IB; a resource specifically designed for IB students to help with their science or TOK subjects. I additionally wrote the textbook on Internal Assessments and lab reports that is in use by schools and students all around the world.

Tutoring Approach

Having taught many students from various backgrounds, I have a lot of experience with teaching different approaches. I will tailor the lessons exactly to your needs and learning approaches. Personally, I study most efficiently using good diagrams and clear explanations to make it understandable and memorable. Especially in chemistry, I like to use analogies to make difficult concepts easy to grasp.

Based on my tutoring experience over the years I have developed a tutoring approach that is highly effective and preferred by most of my students. I have designed my own lesson and practice resources specifically for this to help you learn best. For more information feel free to send me an email!

There are multiple approaches to learning and which one we pick is up to you. Starting from the basics, as well as exploring exam-style questions to pick pieces apart, are both approaches that I use a lot.

I want to offer my students the very best and help them work towards the top marks because I truly believe every student is capable of achieving that.
Having been a student in the IB myself, and having completed the new curriculum, I offer help with Extended Essays within the sciences, Internal Assessments and Maths Explorations.
