I am a Cambridge English graduate with more than ten years' teaching experience. I am committed to teaching at all levels, enjoying helping both pupils who struggle and those who excel to reach their potential. As a friendly and enthusiastic individual I build positive relationships with pupils and their families and look forward to working with you!
I have worked in Secondary schools for 8 years, teaching English Literature at A Level and GCSE and English Language for GCSE. I have experience of a range of exam boards and syllabuses and a track record of outstanding results. More recently, to balance family and work commitments, I have been teaching in Primary schools, gaining an understanding of pupils' all-round needs at this stage and using my excellent Welsh to their advantage.
I have an interactive teaching style, always involving pupils in their learning. I am methodical and organised, planning lessons meticulously and paying close attention to the requirements of syllabuses, ensuring measurable progress in my pupils. I adapt to the age and varying needs of pupils, with a wide variety of resources, making learning enjoyable but always productive.
