I have been teaching for 40 years and have been highly successful at gaining high grades for my students. I have been an AQA examiner and have attended numerous training courses on examination technique. I am able to tutor English and Verbal Reasoning for the Kent 11+ test, as well as Spanish to A level and French up to GCSE. Please note that I do not offer Maths or non verbal for the 11+ as I feel that this is best taught by a Maths specialist. I can also offer English at KS2 and ESL.

Tutoring Experience

I have been a Head of Department and have taught in both maintained and independent schools during my 40 years of teaching. I was highly respected by both parents and students who appreciated my kind, yet firm and organised, approach. I am happy to provide references from local parents whose children I have tutored recently.

Tutoring Approach

My tutoring technique varies according to the student and the level, as each student is an individual. However, as with a class of 30, lessons need to be varied and interesting and, most importantly of all, fun! I like to work closely with you as parents to ensure that you are happy with your child's progress, and will always give my time willingly at the end of a lesson to discuss ways of getting the best out of your son or daughter.
