I have been teaching GCSE English language/literature and IB English language standard level for over 30 years in the UK, Dubai and Thailand and thoroughly enjoyed the diversity. At present, I am Head of English at a Kent college and specialize in GCSE language.
I teach and examine the English course for Edexcel and have been an examiner for AQA English language.
Tutoring Experience
I have taught and tutored most age ranges but specialize in GCSE language and literature. I have been an examiner for both Edexcel and AQA English language. I tutored extensively in Dubai teaching locals for both GCSE and IB standard level. I am especially proud of tutoring the ruler of Dubai's daughter to success in GCSE language and literature.
Tutoring Approach
I thoroughly enjoy tutoring and believe in an exam focussed approach. I believe that to succeed, the learner needs to enjoy the work and understand exactly what is required to improve.
