I have a Batchelors degree in Mechanical Engineering & over 20 years of experience in the electronics industry.
I have a good working knowledge of the subject & I am passionate about helping the next generation meet their goals.
I am new to Tutoring as a role, but I have been able to support family members & colleagues to improve their skills & achieve their grades.
I am flexible in my approach to new students, I am happy to adapt and plan according to individual requirements.
During the first session, I will identify the current ability of the student, along with their desire to improve and their aptitude to learn.
I find working 1-to-1 with students in a quiet environment with minimal distractions yields the best results. It helps build confidence in the student & facilitates their development.
I like to use conversation, discussion & examples to encourage the student to learn & develop the skills necessary to excel at maths.
After all, Maths is essentially a series of building blocks (or skills) used to solve a problem. The key is to identify which blocks to use in which order to provide the best solution.
