I am a full time Maths teacher, currently specialising in A-level Maths and Further Maths, as well as MAT and STEP preparation. I am have two young children, so tutor from 7:30pm weekdays.
Tutoring Experience
15+ years teaching including responsibility for many A-level classes, as well as private tutoring from ages 11 to adult. I also coach for Graduate Numerical Reasoning, as well as the STEP and MAT entrance exams for Oxbridge candidates. Currently working full time in a sixth form, delivering exclusively A-level Maths and Further Maths (Edexcel) although I also have experience with other exam boards.
Tutoring Approach
I aim for a student-driven style with the main focus being on correcting misconceptions and building a thorough conceptual understanding. I appreciate the difficulty so many people have with this subject, but am confident that anyone can succeed with the right approach and sufficient time.
