Hi, I’m Anushree! I’m currently studying Finance at the University of Manchester, having recently graduated with First Class Honours in Economics with Data Science from the University of Southampton. I’ve been tutoring Maths, Economics, and Science for over two years, supporting students from GCSE to university level.

I love helping students build confidence and achieve their goals, whether that’s moving from a pass to a distinction or pushing for top grades. My approach is patient, friendly, and tailored to each student’s needs. I break down complex concepts into simple steps and use past papers and targeted practice to make learning clear and effective.

One of my proudest moments was helping a student raise their exam score from a D to an A in just three weeks. I believe every student can succeed with the right guidance, and I’m passionate about making that happen.

When I’m not studying or tutoring, I enjoy playing piano, travelling, and discovering new cultures.

Tutoring Experience

I have been tutoring for over two years and have worked with a wide range of students, from GCSE through to university level. At school level, I have supported many GCSE and A-Level students in Maths, Economics, and Chemistry, helping them build confidence in their knowledge and improve their exam performance. I focus on breaking down complex ideas into manageable steps and using past papers, targeted practice, and personalised study plans to make learning effective and engaging.

At university level, I have tutored around 10 students in core Economics modules, including microeconomics, macroeconomics, and quantitative analysis. Many of these students came to me struggling with difficult concepts or low confidence, and I take pride in helping them develop both a stronger academic foundation and the ability to approach problems independently.

Tutoring has taught me the importance of patience, adaptability, and encouragement. Every student learns differently, so I always tailor my methods to their individual needs. Above all, I enjoy seeing students grow in confidence and discover that they are capable of much more than they first believed.

Tutoring Approach

My teaching approach is highly interactive and tailored to each student’s needs. I encourage active engagement through discussions and essay-style questions, which help students develop critical thinking and apply theory to real-world contexts. For exam preparation, I place a strong emphasis on past papers and practice questions, as they are the best way to build familiarity with exam technique and identify areas for improvement. Alongside this, I ensure students gain a solid grounding in the underlying theory so they not only perform well in exams but also develop a deeper understanding of the subject. This balance of interactive learning, theory, and exam practice helps students build both confidence and long-term academic skills.
