I have previously been a primary school teacher for 5 years. I understand that all children are unique and learn through different styles, therefore, I adapt my teaching dependent on an individual child. I feel I make my teaching engaging, fun and varied as well as personalised to each individual. I believe all children can succeed with the right support and encouragement.
I am currently a Speech and Language Therapist Assistant. Previously I was a teacher for 5 years, in that time, I have mainly taught KS2 classes. However, I do have experience of teaching all year groups which I developed throughout my PGCE. In addition, before starting my PGCE I was a teaching assistant. In this role I assisted in classes from Year 1 - Year 6 so have experience with all ages and abilities. Before entering my career as a teacher I completed my Psychology degree which I thoroughly enjoyed.
My teaching style is an holistic approach taking into consideration all of the child's needs. I like to plan lessons that are fun, engaging and individualised to meet the needs of each child. I feel it is essential to build a child's confidence as well as their knowledge and ability within a subject. I also to make the learning fun too!
