I am a qualified & certified teacher of high school mathematics. I have been teaching for 23 years and have been an online tutor for 3 years. I am a committed & dedicated professional.

Tutoring Experience

I am vastly experienced in teaching UK and international mathematics curricula across the 11-19 age range. I have particular experience in teaching Key Stages 3-4 & A Level Pure, Statistics & Mechanics, IGCSE & IB Diploma Mathematics options at SL and HL. I am also a senior examiner for UK based exam boards for A Level & IGCSE as well as an examiner & moderator for IB Mathematics HL.

Tutoring Approach

My approach is varied to suit the needs of an individual student. I regularly incorporate inquiry-based learning approach together with Socratic questioning to help inculcate the logic, clarity, order & precision of mathematical learning. I enjoy using varied resources & tools to engage the students through their learning journey. I very much encourage & enjoy having students be curious and to develop confidence to pose their own questions & interact collaboratively throughout their lessons. I regularly provide learners to present a summary of their learning at the end of a lesson or at the beginning of the next one to gauge the level of understanding, including having students act as the teacher while solving a problem.
