I am a qualified primary school teacher and private tutor currently in my sixth year of working in education. I graduated from the esteemed UCL IOE with a primary PGCE.
I have a wealth of experience with all types of primary and SEN teaching, working across 15+ settings on supply and placements. I also hold a Psychology degree from the University of Birmingham, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Forensic Psychology from Coventry, so I am academically skilled in many areas of human behaviour, learning and development.
I also have vast experience with SEN, working for three years as a SEN 1-1 and teaching assistant. I am patient, understanding of needs and sensitive when it comes to teaching neuro-diverse students. I have worked 1-1, planned and delivered interventions, and am proficient in teaching online due to the COVID 19 lockdown.
1 year part time as a Nursery Practitioner
2 and 1/2 years as a Primary Teaching Assistant and 1-1 SEN support
1 year of Teacher Practice (PCGE, IOE)
1 year as Year 3 Class Teacher
2 years as Year 5 Class Teacher
1/2 year of private tuition (11+ entrance)
My lessons will be engaging and fun, and I am an amicable and patient professional. The work will inspire interest and challenge my students. I have detailed knowledge of the primary curriculum, and I am also very open to be emailed about any questions students or their parents may have to add a personal touch.
