Hey there! I'm Ashrith, a first year Computing student at Imperial College London. In terms of my academics, I achieved all A*s at GCSEs and achieved A*A*AA in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Computing. I have had offers from the likes of Bristol, Bath and Warwick for Computer Science. I achieved a 6.7 on the TMUA and was offered an interview at Cambridge. All these experiences make me competent to provide personal statement advice and interview practice for Maths/CS at Russell Group universities. For me, the driving force to learn has been my passion for problem solving. My job as a tutor is to provide you a gateway for you to improve. At the end of the day, it is up to you to work hard for it.
I have previously worked as a Tutor at Explore Learning, where I taught Maths and English from ages 4-16. Whilst working there, I facilitated the 11+ program for children in Year 5. These experiences mean that I can aid with 11+ preparation across all 4 subjects tested (for CEM and GL styles).
My approach is not just to help you pass an exam but to improve your problem solving skills and critical thinking skills.
I will start of the session with a short warm-up and then move onto the content that we would cover. Then towards the end we summarise the content. I aim to interleave topics covered so that the student can improve their understanding of the subject and therefore better perform in examinations.
