Tutoring Experience

I have a PGCE in primary education, where I specialised in mathematics. This has helped me to develop expertise in teaching primary mathematics by implementing new teaching methods, and has given me an insight into the most effective ways of teaching mathematical ideas. I have had experience of teaching a range of primary age groups, of planning lessons and carrying out assessments.

I believe that the key to achieving success is enjoyment and appropriate challenge in learning. I know how to encourage my students to push their limits to achieve their full potential. I strive develop a cooperative and calm atmosphere with all of my students. I aspire to deliver engaging and exciting lessons using fun games, real life experiences, and tailored resources using a variety of teaching methods best suited to each individual. I am patient and believe that children should be encouraged to be brave, kind and big-hearted.
