I am an extremely patient and caring educator who believes in promoting success in children. I am a very sociable and outgoing person who will always go the extra mile to help anyone at any time. I truly believe that every child deserves every chance they can get to become the best version of themselves and sometimes it needs some time outside of school to work on this.

Tutoring Experience

I have been teaching for 2 years in a very fast paced environment with high levels of SEND, giving me plenty of experience to adapt my teaching for all needs. I am particularly strong with children who may struggle to pay attention or control their behaviours in school. Albeit having a relatively small amount of time in the field, the challenges that I have faced in the environment where I work has given me a plethora of tools to adapt my teaching to cater for all levels of behaviour and needs.

Tutoring Approach

I take a holistic approach to teaching, which is to say I will not just teach how to tackle problems, but the reasoning behind the 'how'. It is vital that children are taught to think more critically and I will give them the tools to do this, ensuring that the problem solving methods that are taught can be transferred to all areas of their education. I will give a strong positive reinforcement approach to teaching and develop relationships with students as it is vital that children feel comfortable and safe in order to learn effectively.
