I have studied Chinese to degree level and spent over 5 years in China. I have a very good command of the language and knowledge of culture. I also lived and worked in Madrid for over 5 years. I self-studied Spanish but also had online lessons and passed DELE B2, equivalent to A level. I am a good teacher who motivates students and helps them achieve their potential, whilst enjoying lessons.

Tutoring Experience

I have taught for over a decade. I have taught Mandarin in secondary schools for over 4 years, with GCSE and A level teaching experience. I have also taught KS3 Spanish for 4 years. I am also an AQA Examiner for the Mandarin Chinese GCSE.

Tutoring Approach

My approach is to help build confidence in my students, essential for languages. Practising speaking is very important and communicative activities are used. For those students preparing for GCSE or A level I can guarantee lessons that are very exam focused. I will make sure you know how you are assessed, to give you the best chance of success.
