I am a second year student at the University of Exeter studying Psychology. My main interests include exploring the development of ADHD in young adolescents aswell as child development. I am a friendly, caring and dedicated individual who loves helping others.

Tutoring Experience

I have experience teaching children ranging from ages 5-12 years. I completed volunteer work in my local primary school which included teaching science to 5- and 6-year-old children in a classroom environment. I also helped at an after-school club for primary aged children in which we taught them about nature and the environment. I also frequently help my peers in lessons when they are struggling with work and have continued to do this up to degree level.

Tutoring Approach

My extensive research into the condition of ADHD has taught me that the best way to teach children is to keep lessons fun and engaging. As a result, I like to adopt a range of different teaching styles such as quizzes, independent work and mind-mapping together. I like to create a safe environment where the child doesn't feel embarrassed to try new things and is excited to take part in my lessons.
