I am a professional, full-time Mathematics tutor. My aim is to improve students understanding of, and appreciation for, Mathematics and hence maximize their Mathematical abilities, achieve the best exam grades that they can, and provide skills that will last forever.
Tutoring Experience
Whilst working as an IT professional I tutored my grandchildren and some of their friends in Level 3 (A Level) and Level 2 Maths qualifications (GCSE, and Functional Skills). In 2014 I decided to change career, go back to a subject that I enjoy, and to teach Mathematics full time. I now have eight years experience of providing private maths tuition. My range includes GCSE, A level, Functional Skills maths, 11+, and 13+.
Tutoring Approach
I provide face to face or remote tuition to individuals or face to face to small groups. My aim is to improve students understanding of, and appreciation for, Mathematics and hence maximize their Mathematical abilities, achieve the best exam grades that they can, and provide skills that will last a lifetime. I believe that Mathematical understanding comes through practice so I place an emphasis on students solving mathematical problems.
