I am a highly qualified Mathematics teacher with an enhanced DBS certificate and over 35 years of combined tutoring/teaching experience. My mainstay was providing 1-2-1 tailored tuition sessions during home visits to clients, but with the onset of COVID 19 pandemic I had to diversify my teaching to accommodate my students. I successfully accomplished this and now provide online tuition services in Mathematics (up to A level including IB) and Physics (up to A level) & Chemistry (up to GCSE level), using Zoom & Microsoft Meetings platform. I currently provide home visits as well online tuition.

Tutoring Experience

I am a highly qualified Mathematics teacher with an enhanced DBS certificate and over 35 years of combined tutoring/teaching experience from an engineering background. In 2002 I attained a PGCE qualification in Mathematics and since have worked as a full-time tutor specialising in KS2, KS3 KS4, KS5 and IB level Maths and 11+ 13+ 16+ common entrance exams for grammar and private schools. In addition to this over the past four years I have provided tuition in Physics up to A level. I employ a range of practical and IT based teaching resources. I have taught many students with Special Educational Needs. In addition to this I have marked A level Maths scri pts for the OCR board. I have also undertaken notable tenures including teaching at Bushey Academy and Epsom University. I provide all students with worksheets to reinforce the topics learnt and e-mail support between lessons when required. It gives me great pleasure and job satisfaction when students learn, understand & apply their newly acquired skills.

Tutoring Approach

I currently use Microsoft Teams together with WhatsApp to deliver an exceptional online tuition experience. I have been doing this since March 2020 due to the pandemic. I also use programs & other online resources to deliver the highest quality lessons possible. Face to face in person tuition is also available. Every lesson will be planned to meet student’s individual needs and materials will be provided for homework and the outcome reported to the parent or carer on every occasion.
