Hi! I'm Cameron, a tutor dedicated to helping students excel in English and related subjects.

Students might struggle with parts of the curriculum or school environment, but still have great ideas and comprehension. I'm interested in breaking down these barriers so that they can reach their full potential.

I am a writer with have a First Class BA in Drama from the University of the West of England who has spent far too much time reading. I enjoy creating music and exploring different cultures.

Tutoring Experience

I have volunteered with Action Tutoring, helping disadantaged students strengthen reading and exam skills in English. I have also tutored English and Music independently. In English, I have experience tutoring ks2/ks3 levels, and strong knowledge of GCSE and A level qualifications.
This past year I have been teaching English to adults in Spain.

My tuition supports the curriculum whilst offering a highly personalised and dynamic exploration of its key components. I am passionate about helping students find their own voice and developing longterm skills.

I can:
- help make sense of assessment objectives, techniques for structuring arguments and ways to improve writing style.

- offer suggestions for reading and analysis, with a focus on curating an individual response to the text.
- aid reading comprehension, breaking down the writing devices that students are expected to analyse and implement in their writing.
- support exam preparation, helping students structure arguments and write under pressure.
