I am a University of Cambridge graduate in Human, Social and Political Sciences, currently working in mental health and about to study an MSc Psychology conversion on a Masters Excellence Scholarship. I have an A* in Psychology A level.

Tutoring Experience

I have done 120 hours of Psychology A level tutoring, receiving only positive feedback about my teaching approach and availability from clients. All of my students have increased their grades, citing the tutoring sessions as a key reason for this.

I have found being recent A level student beneficial as it means I have a recent knowledge of how I revised effectively for the A level to get an A*. I believe this time sharing effective exam revision tips has been crucial to student’s successes.

Tutoring Approach

I am passionate about learning, and I am particularly interested in all subjects centred on the understanding of ‘people’ (such as history and social sciences). My ethos is for my sessions to be guided by the student so that I tailor the time in the areas where they most need support.

The sessions should be about the consolidation of learning rather than actively learning new material. I enable this by setting homework outside of the sessions to ensure any questions can then be addressed on the topic in the lesson. I organise this in a Google Drive folder so it is all in one place and email students with this after each session. I have also been complimented on this format and organisation from clients.

Most importantly, I aim to foster an encouraging and fun environment to give my students confidence an ensure they reach their potential.
