Hello! I am an enthusiastic and friendly primary school teacher by day and a private tutor outside of school hours. I am dynamic with a passion for enabling children to grow and thrive academically and personally. I offer bespoke, individualised 1:1 tutoring where I endeavour to support your child in finding their passion and enjoyment for subjects as well as discovering and developing their own learning styles so that they can excel with confidence. I have access to several high quality teaching tools and resources on offer within my tutoring sessions.

Tutoring Experience

I have 16 years of primary age teaching experience and 1 year as a private tutor so far. I have taught all the way through primary from Early Years to Year 6. And so, I understand where children need to be by the end of each year group and how to prepare them for the next.

Tutoring Approach

I aim to build a positive rapport with your child to help them feel ready to learn in my tutoring sessions. I like to work with you as their parent, providing relevant feedback and offering top tips and homework for your child to practise at home. In the first session, I will assess your child's subject knowledge and performance so that I can build a clear picture of what needs prioritising.

Throughout my career, I have worked with a diverse range of individuals, including children with special educational needs (SEND). My friendly and patient approach aims to create an enjoyable learning environment where students can thrive.

My ultimate goal is to instil a love for the subjects I teach, tailoring my tutoring to meet the specific needs of each student. I am committed to professionalism and reliability, adapting my teaching methods to accommodate different levels and learning styles. One of my primary objectives is to boost my students' confidence, which I believe is essential for mastering any subject. I take pride in being patient and encouraging, ensuring that every student feels supported on their learning journey.
