History and English (Foreign Language) Lessons in Cambridge

I work as the head of a history department in a leading independent school close to Cambridge and have extensive experience as a teacher of History at A Level, IB and (I)GCSE and also English as an Additional Language focusing on IELTS/CAE/FCE/IGCSE exam preparation. My track record with exam result success is extremely high. This also extends to those I have tutored as well.

I am also an IGCSE History examiner.

Tutoring Experience

I have taught History and English as an Additional Language at prestigious independent schools for over 14 years. In this time I have taught a very wide range of historical topics and covered all the main exam boards, so am fully versed with their individual nuances in terms of assessment criteria.

My approach is to enable you to fulfil your academic potential and in the process build individual confidence so you not only reach your learning objectives, but also exceed the level you thought you were capable of.

I am a very effective communicator and approachable as well as supportive by nature. However, I also have very high expectations of my tutees such is the level of confidence in my ability to significantly improve their individual performance.
