Tutoring Experience

My extensive experience as a SEN Tutor and Personal Learning Mentor has honed my ability to deliver high-quality, tailored educational support to students with complex needs. I have successfully designed and delivered differentiated curriculums that ensure students make substantial progress, regardless of their starting point. By promoting independent learning and personal development, I have helped students build the confidence and skills necessary for academic success and beyond.
Key achievements include:
• Curriculum Development: Crafted and implemented an adapted curriculum aligned with Department for Education (DfE) expectations. This approach ensures that students receive a well-rounded education that meets their individual needs.
• Targeted Support: Provided focused, one-on-one support to students at risk of falling behind, conducting effective tutorials that address specific learning challenges. My close collaboration with parents and specialists has been instrumental in creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
• Positive Behaviour Support: My strong background in promoting positive behaviour has allowed me to create a classroom environment where students feel safe, respected, and motivated to learn. I have guided Teaching Assistants in implementing strategies that support positive behaviour and enhance the learning experience.
Early Years/KS1 Educator In my role as an Early Years and KS1 educator, I have dedicated myself to creating nurturing and stimulating learning environments where young children can thrive. My approach is centered on developing the whole child, with a particular focus on social, emotional, and cognitive development. By providing pastoral support and supervising Teaching Assistants, I have ensured that every child in my care receives the individual attention they need to succeed.

Tutoring Approach

I am committed to supporting children and young adults who are currently not accessing education or those who require additional help alongside their formal schooling. My services are tailored to meet the unique needs of each student, whether they need help catching up, require extra support due to special educational needs, or are preparing for the transition to adulthood. My approach will be via: Differentiated Instruction - Designed and deliver a differentiated curriculum that meets the diverse needs of young learners, ensuring that all students, regardless of their abilities, make meaningful progress.
• Resource Development: Create and curate educational resources that support both classroom and one-on-one instruction, facilitating a more engaging and effective learning experience.
• Holistic Development: Lead sessions focused on Independence, Personal and Social Development, and Transition, helping students build essential life skills that prepare them for future challenges.
