I am an experienced teacher, with 15 years’ experience in the classroom, who is passionate about creating tailor-made lessons which suit your specific needs.
I am a patient, caring and an enthusiastic teacher, committed to working with children throughout their primary education, aiding and encouraging them to reach their full academic potential.
During my teaching career so far, I have learnt the importance of assessing children in order to identify the gaps in their learning, and consequently plan engaging lessons that tackle these specific areas, which I believe to be vital for a child's academic growth.
I have a degree in Primary Education and have been a primary school teacher for the last 15 years, teaching Nursery – Key Stage 2. Each year a high percentage of children within my class have made outstanding progress and achieved excellent outcomes meeting the expected standard and higher in Reading, Writing, Maths and Phonics.
I have built up a wide range of teaching strategies and resources to support children's learning and tailor this to meet any individual needs. I understand that not all children learn in the same way and I strive to find a way that works best for individuals. I am dedicated to helping each and every child to reach their potential. My nature and teaching style is calm, encouraging and positive. I believe in praise and building confidence in ability as well as academic success.
