I have taught at RemovedAcademy John Williams for 3 years full time where I have experience with both the foundation and higher GCSE curriculum.

Tutoring Experience

I am a fully qualified maths teacher and completed my PGCE at University of Bristol. I have also done Year 11 revision clubs after school in preparation for their exams.

Tutoring Approach

The lessons can be focused on specific topics/areas , with model examples and lots of practice provided or can be used as help for any homeworks that need to be completed. The main aims in each lesson is to address any misconceptions or any gaps in knowledge; and the best way to do this it with lots of practice! I am a patience and positive teacher and I understand that learning maths takes time and can sometimes be frustrating but also incredibly rewarding when you understand it. The practice in the lesson will be adapted to the level of the student as to get the most out of the lesson and shouldn't be rushed. For students in Year 10 or 11 it is important they are also practicing exam style questions so they are more prepared for the actual thing. I hope you consider me as a potential tutor!
