I am an enthusiastic and friendly person with many years of teaching experience. I have a masters in International Development Law and Human Rights and an undergraduate degree in Chemistry. I provide an excellent teaching experience for students who want to learn. I enjoy and find it rewarding supporting students and seeing their confidence grow over the course of our time together. I can also offer home schooling for those students not in formal education.
As a child, I too experienced private tuition and I understand the importance of one-to-one support outside the classroom to enhance learning, confidence and academic achievements.
I have been tutoring for 10 years and have had experience teaching at Pre School, Primary and Secondary for all levels and learning abilities in:
Chemistry
Mathematics
General Science
I have worked with children and young people for over 10 years in a variety of roles. I also have experience teaching home schooled children and can offer day time sessions.
Many of my students are long term and I have been teaching them and their siblings for years.

I aim to provide a fun, creative and enjoyable environment where students are free to learn and feel confident with their studies. Every individual has a different learning style and therefore I will incorporate different approaches to learning and tailored programmes to ensure that all my students receive the best possible support.
During the first class, I aim to understand more about how the student learns, what support they need and what I can offer so that we can plan long and short-term goals to support their learning.
I normally start with the basics in the first few lessons so that the students feel comfortable with the material and then we will progress gradually at their pace.
When teaching younger students I use fun activities, games and visual images to develop their learning.
When teaching older students I create worksheets, extension activities and further learning resources that will support students with examinations and academic development.
