I am currently completing my PhD in Psychology at Cambridge and looking to do some tutoring in my free time! I have extensive experience tutoring a variety of age groups in multiple subjects, and am enthusiastic about helping students who need a little extra guidance to improve their studies and enjoy their time in academia! Alternatively, I can help with specific assignments and projects if you require short-term guidance :)
I have experience in tutoring undergraduate and A-level Psychology, English Language and Literature GCSE, and English Key Stage 3 all ages 11-16, all in past 6 months. I have helped out with short-term assignments and exam prep, as well as working long-term with students to provide the little extra guidance they need to improve their studies. I also have experience working with children with alternative needs (autism and similar learning difficulties), and am happy to discuss any additional help you may need. I also have an up-to-date DBS check.
I have an enthusiastic, optimistic approach to tutoring, with the belief that one-to-one time with material tailored to how the student learns best and an open, patient attitude to explaining and answering questions, will benefit any student's understanding of their studies. This learning environment is also aimed to boost the student's confidence in themselves and their ability, as this is a key element to their ability to engage with and understand new and challenging material.
