I am a Professional Private Home Tutor and have strong background in teaching Science subjects; Maths, Physics, Chemistry & Biology. I have excellent academic background as a Chemist and have high success rate in Improving student's future grades by helping them in them academically and tailoring tutoring sessions to fit the needs of individuals.

Tutoring Experience

I have taught Physics, Biology and Chemistry for almost 10 years and during this time I have also tutored a range of ability pupils in the three sciences and maths. I have given private tuition to a number of pupils, over the last 4 years, with excellent results. I specialise in helping to boost the grades of my pupils who have a forecasted 5 to achieving 8. My rates are very competitive and I provide all materials according to student BOARD as AQA, OCR, Edexcel.

Tutoring Approach

I am usually hired to tutor both maths and science in a session. I tend to do 45 minutes of maths and 45 minutes of science. This can, of course, be tailored to suit the needs of the individual student but I have found that students respond much better to having the sessions split into two manageable chunks to keep them engaged. For the subjects I will always start with the fundamentals then build on that. The first tutoring sessions will be an analysis of where the student is currently and using this as a platform for future lessons. It is important to remember that these sessions can be as flexible as you like. I am happy to support with homework or running through past test questions from school if that is the support that the tutee needs, this does not need to be planned in advance we can have that discussion on the day of the session.
