I enjoy meeting people, I enjoy teaching and I enjoy English!

I have a first class Honours degree in English Language and Literature from Oxford University, so I can teach both English Language and English Literature. I also teach university students - international students at Warwick University and Coventry University who are doing degrees in Law or Business and need some help with writing English.

I have an enhanced DBS certificate. This used to be called a CRB check.

Tutoring Experience

I taught at Cambridge University and Glasgow University.

For nine years I have tutored students for their GCSEs with great success. In many cases parents come back to me after I have taught their eldest child and ask me to teach their younger daughter or son, which is the best compliment you can get! I have known some families for 3 or 4 years now! In almost every case I have helped my students improve on their predicted grades.

I am happy to teach face to face or online.

I have experience teaching English for different exam boards, including AQA, OCR and Edexcel and I have helped several students with iGCSE Edexcel coursework.

Tutoring Approach

Every student is different. I try to find the student's strengths and build on that.
