I am an experienced teacher of Modern Languages who graduated from universite de Brest in 1987 with a degree in English. I have been living in Scotland for 35 years and have been teaching French and German for 30 years in a Scottish secondary school.
I have been teaching for 30 years in a secondary school. I am qualified to teach French and German. I have been responsible for the french higher and advanced higher classes for 20 years. I have an excellent success rate. I also mark exam papers for SQA and therefore know the standards required to achieve good grades.
German is my other specialist subject and I have been successfully presenting candidates at national 5 and higher level.
Students' goal are to be successful in their exams. For language students the speaking exam is usually stressful and need a lot of preparation. I am able to give students confidence and those extra idiomatic expressions which can make a difference to a grade. Moreover what is practised is always accurate. Another area which is deemed challenging is writing accurately. Thanks to my help students can progress. I also believe that what is taught at school should be reinforced and practised. I have the ability to put students at ease and to give them confidence .
