I am an experienced teacher of Maths who started teaching because I felt I could help children and teenagers to realise the Maths they had within them, and to become the best mathematician they could be. Later I taught adults too. I am currently working with out of school children. A trained life coach, my passion for seeing individuals become the best version of themselves underpins all I do. I am empathetic and I know how to put students at ease, so they come away feeling good about themselves.

I approach sessions with the goal of taking where a pupil is now and putting stepping stones in place to enable them to achieve their target. It is always positive and encouraging and at the same time stretches them to achieve their best. Showing a pupil what their best self looks like and helping them to develop the mathematician within, is great fun and very rewarding for me too.
My aim is that every student comes away from sessions with an increased confidence in their ability to tackle whatever is presented. This way, not only are students able to succeed at entrance exams KS2/3 or GCSE to the highest level, but in the process students have become capable mathematicians.
I teach formal methods for the presentation of mathematics using conventions which are widely accepted and enhance solutions.
Small Online groups (max 6 students) are great fun and small enough for each individual to be supported and to ask questions during the session. If a student needs support then additional help is given and worksheets sent by email. Students are encouraged to send any questions via WhatsApp during the week and not to wait till the next session. Homework sent by WhatsApp is marked and feedback given.
